
GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The 22nd annual “Wings Over the Platte Art Exhibit and Sale” is the biggest Stuhr Museum has ever seen, with 98 pieces by 45 artists depicting life on the Platte River and its tributaries on display in the Stuhr Building. The exhibit runs February 19 through April 11.
Wings Over the Platte is the largest exhibit solely dedicated to the Platte River in the country. Artists work includes, oils, pastels, sculpture, photography and much more to create many varying ideas on the life of the Platte.
Judging for this year's exhibit was conducted by local artists and museum members. This year’s winners are:

This year, Stuhr is proud to welcome Julie Crocker as this year's featured artist. Crocker has participated in each of the 22 Wings Over the Platte exhibits, and brings many amazing pieces to Lacy Hall. Crocker will speak as part of the Wings Speaker Program on March 13.
The public can view this year’s “Wings Over the Platte” show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday through April 11th at Stuhr Museum. The museum is closed on Mondays in January, February and March. Winter admission fees of $6 for adults and $4 for children apply. Stuhr Museum members are admitted free.
