Sousa Shoe Shop

This merchant kept a stock of ready-made shoes and boots, and he was also prepared to make shoes and boots to order. This merchant was one of the first to encounter competition from mail-order houses. The phrase "Buy at Home" accompanied most of his ads. The building was donated by Norman Stelk. Mr. Sousa, from Hastings, Nebr., donated his shoe shop equipment for the exhibit.
