GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - Tinsmithing used to be a trade passed down through generations. During Stuhr Museum's "Family Tinsmithing Class," October 25 & 26 and November 8 & 9, several generations can learn this time-honored art in one class.
Railroad Town Tinsmith Loren Miller will teach participants how to make cookie cutters, cups, boxes, lunch pales and how to handle tools and create your own pieces. The class is specifically designed for couples, parents and children or grandparents and children to take together. Children must be in the fourth grade or higher to participate.
The cost is $85 per pair of adults or $75 for one adult and one child. Call (308) 385-5316 for more information.
