Welcome to Stuhr Museum!

"From Sheep To Shawl" Scheduled For Saturday
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at the Rural Farmstead

Stuhr visitors will have a unique chance to see every step of the weaving process, and we mean every step, during the Prairie Fibers, Weavers and Spinners Guild special presentation "From Sheep to Shawl" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. The event takes place at various locations around Railroad Town including the Milisen House, the Fonda House, and the Depot.

During the presentation, a sheep’s wool will be sheared on the spot and wool from various sources will be used to make a variety of clothing. The wool will be weaved on a large loom imported from New Zealand, and the projects should finish up completely during the time allotted. Items will also be for sale in the Railroad Town Hall.

Regular admission to Stuhr Museum allows visitors to view this detailed and fascinating presentation. Call (308) 385-5316 for more information.
