Railroad Town Upside Down!
September 15, 2005 from 6-9 pm
The Marshal of Grand Island has run the gamblers out
of town…and they’re all flocking to Railroad Town! Faro, Roulette, Poker, Blackjack, Dice and other games are turning up all over town. Meet the “Knights of the Green Cloth,” as many Faro players were called. Faro was once the most popular gambling game in the 19th-century. Stop by the Railroad Town Bank, and then play for Railroad Town ‘scrip’ to see who comes out the big winner! The gamblers are even trying to run Mayor Cynova out of town…come see if they succeed! This little town is getting out of hand in a big way!
Children’s games and activities will also be available!
Come on out and join us for an exciting evening of old-fashioned fun on September 15 from 6 to 9 pm at Stuhr Museum!
