Reynolds Center Dedication

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The new addition to the Edgar and Frances Reynolds Administration Building at Stuhr Museum was dedicated on Thursday, October 28, with more than 200 people showing up to see the new building.
The building,
which houses research archives and administrative offices at Stuhr Museum, received a substantial addition for the partial renovation thanks to a grant from the Edgar and Frances Reynolds Foundation. The Reynolds Foundation pledged $500,000 over 5 years to make the addition possible.
Highlights of the renovation, which took place between December of 2009 and August of 2010, include a new multipurpose room, office space for the Stuhr Museum Foundation, increased storage space and renovations for the Research Center which will help the museum better preserve artifacts. Because of the renovation, the Stuhr Building has more room for programming as well.
Among the crowd who showed up to congratulate Stuhr on the renovation were representatives from the Edgar and Frances Reynolds Foundation, members of the Stuhr Museum and Stuhr Museum Foundation boards, local elected representatives and many other friends of the museum.
