Quilt Show Winners

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The Stuhr Museum Quilt Show brought vendors and textile arts enthusiasts from around the state to Grand Island on Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st to see a dazzling array of quilts, take classes and expand their knowledge of this growing and vibrant art form.

The winners of the 2008 "It's Quilting Time" Quilt Contest were also announced and include:

1st Place – "Fun in the Snow" by Patricia Brashears, Kearney, NE
2nd Place – "Red Hot NASCAR" by Dorothy Alexander, Superior, NE
3rd Place – "Back Yard Ball Game" by Sharon Breckner, Hastings, NE

Small Category

1st Place – "Hiking in the Rockies" by Cora Lee Konecny, Kearney, NE
2nd Place – "Michael" by Sharon Breckner, Kearney, NE
3rd Place - "Skunked" by Amanda Benz, Kearney, NE
