"Flipped Quilts" Exhibit
Jan. 14 - Feb. 8 in the Stuhr Building's Cronin Hall

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - "Flipped Quilts From the Stuhr Collection" is an exhibition of quilts demonstrating something unusual or unique. Hopefully, these quilts will spark your interest, imagination and discussion. Try to determine what each quilter has done differently with the design, color, pattern and material. Then take a moment to write your own comments and read what others have said about the piece. Let's see how many discoveries can be made!

The Stuhr Collection is the second largest quilt collection in the state with over 230 quilts, some dating back as far as the 1840s. Each quilt has been picked to correspond with the "It's Quilting Time" Quilt Show and Exhibition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 and Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3. Diane Harris, associate editor of Quiltmaker Magazine, headlines the event.

Make plans to attend for two days of demonstrations, exhibits, guest vendors and food at Stuhr Museum. For more information, contact Martha at (308) 385-5316 ext. 201.
