Hall County Student Art Show
April 15 - April 30
Artist's Reception 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM – Stuhr Museum is proud to be hosting the annual Hall County Student Art Show, opening Friday, April 15 and running through Saturday, April 30. An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd.
The Hall County Student Art Show is certainly the most diverse art show of Stuhr’s 2011 schedule. The show will line the Halls of the Stuhr Building and Lacy Hall with pieces ranging from pencil to paint, sculpture to Photoshop, abstract to realism and everything in between. Cronin Hall will feature photos taken by students during the Artist in Residence Program held during the Wings Over the Platte exhibit.
Each year, a majority of high schools and middle schools in Hall County choose the best work produced by their students, and coordinate with Stuhr to be part of this show. For many young artists, this will be the first time their work will hang in a professional space.
Schools taking part in the show include Northwest High School, Grand Island Central Catholic High School, Grand Island Senior High, Doniphan/Trumbull Public Schools, Centura Public School, Walnut Middle School, Barr Middle School, Westridge Middle School and Grand Island Central Catholic Middle School.
Please come support these talented artists! For more information, contact the museum at (308) 385-5316.
