Hats Classes
GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The Historical Activities for Today's Students or HATS classes started the first week in September, and the Stuhr grounds have been active ever since with groups of students learning about history by seeing it first hand.
The classes give students a chance to not hear about a train, but stand inside a train - not just hear about jobs children performed in the 1890s, but actually do them. Depending on the class, students learn about everything from Native American culture, to Townbuilding, to life in a log cabin and others. Most of the museum ground are utilized by the classes.

HATS classes are taught by trained Stuhr Museum teaching staff and run throughout the year. For more information on any of the HATS classes, contact Ann Atkins, Education Director at (308) 385-5316 ext. 250.
