Stuhr Awarded 2010 Tourism Marketing Grant

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - Stuhr Museum is honored to have received a 2010 Tourism Marketing Grant from the State of Nebraska!

Governor Dave Heineman announced tourism marketing grants totaling nearly $125,000 for 36 organizations across the state on Monday, March 22 as part of the Nebraska Department of Travel and Tourism's Tourism Marketing Grant program.

Stuhr Museum received $4,450 to advertise the "Lest We Forget" Memorial Day event on May 29, 30 & 31.

Funding for tourism marketing grants comes from revenue generated by the state lodging tax. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development administers the program, which includes the promotion of an event or a region of the state and general marketing activities. Applicants included 90 proposals requesting nearly $580,000 in grants.
