Stuhr Museum Foundation Mission
The mission of the Stuhr Museum Foundation is to secure
the short-and long-term financial future of the Stuhr Museum of
the Prairie Pioneer.
Over thirty
years ago, the people of Hall County dreamed of creating a museum
to preserve the area's rich local history. Stuhr Museum started
as a grassroots effort to honor those ancestors who triumphed
over many adversities to build a home and a community. Through
the generosity of Leo Stuhr and thousands of other residents who
committed both time and money, Stuhr Museum became a reality in
the summer of 1967.
The museum
has developed and expanded over the years because of the continued
support of our many friends. Members, volunteers and donors, and
area citizens have played a vital role in Stuhr's success.
In 1980, the
Stuhr Museum Foundation was created to ensure the future growth
and stability of Stuhr Museum. The Foundation has contributed
immensely to the development of the museum.
Donations to the Foundation have funded
