Nebraska Food Festival!

November 1-2, 2008 – Saturday 9-5, Sunday 12-5. Sample, learn about, and buy delightful goodies and foods produced right here in Nebraska! The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Get a taste of the unique and delicious food items created and sold in Nebraska during Stuhr Museum's annual Nebraska Food Festival.

During this two-day event, vendors bring a vast variety of specialty food items to sample and sell. In the past, products have involved everything from BBQ Sauce to Popcorn to pickles to seasoning and more.

Stuhr's knowledgeable and engaging staff will also be presenting a historic food demonstration

Also at this year’s Nebraska Food Festival:

Chef Anthony from Hy-Vee in Grand Island will bring his unique recipes and ideas for great holiday meals to the Food Festival. Between demonstrations and recipe ideas, Hy-Vee's resident dietician will also be on hand to talk about how to avoid holiday weight gain and create healthy and delicious meals. Join them in the auditorium for this fantastic presentation.

● Hourly drawings will be given to those in attendance.

●Special guest demonstrators include "The Kolache Lady" who will demonstrate authentic Czechoslovakian pastries to sample and purchase. Come join the Kolache Lady and the South Central Nebraska Czech Society who will provide entertainment with dessert! There will also be bread baking on the wood stove among other demonstrations.

●The "Guess the Smell Game" featuring dozens of pleasant scents to guess.

● As always, the Nebraska Food Festival will feature over a hundred delicious and delectable food to sample and purchase.

Over 20 Nebraska food venders also plan on attending the event and sharing their unique and delicious food items with the public. For those looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for the upcoming holiday season, the Nebraska Food Festival is what you’ve been waiting for.
