GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - Stuhr Museum is proud to host the 43rd annual Grand Island Art Club and Grand Island Sketch Club exhibit and sale from September 17 through November 14 in the Stuhr Building.
The members of the Grand Island Art Club and Grand Island Sketch Club take their best work from the year to create this show, which has become a fall tradition at Stuhr Museum. The variety of the show remains one of its most defining attributes, with acrylics, water color, photography, pastels and bronze sculptures all part of this year’s mix. This year, each member of the clubs were allowed to submit two pieces instead of the traditional one, making for an even larger array of artwork.
A special reception will be held September 30 and will feature entertainment by Paul Siebert, free refreshments and artwork for sale.
The Grand Island Art Club and Grand Island Sketch Club strive to help beginning and advanced artists develop their talents, build skills and expand their knowledge through workshops taught by local, national and international artists. Each club works in a variety of mediums and encourages people to come and express themselves through art.
Every piece on display will also be for sale over the course of the show, which can be viewed from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Noon – 5 p.m. on Sundays. Regular winter admission fees apply which are $6 for adults, $4 for children and free for Stuhr Museum members.
